The ideas are interesting - 18th and 19th century bourgeois English literature concerns of property, husbands, and the position of women in society are transposed onto a 21st century white (by implication) bourgeois academia-adjacent setting wherein the various protagonists are bored and alienated, in one case quite literally from her own breasts.
